Jennie Low’s Tasty Takeout.
After making Ina Garten’s Wild Mushroom Risotto the other day I thought I’d take a break from cooking and order takeout. My go-to is Chinese food and around here it’s Jennie Low’s in Novato.

Jennie taught Chinese cooking for 20 years and has run her restaurant since 1987. Her expertise shows in the quality of the dishes that are inspired by many regions of China, including Cantonese, Mandarin, Szechuan and Hunan.
My staples are Jennie’s Chow Fun noodles (sans bean sprouts), shrimp in garlic sauce and pork pot stickers. Together, they’re a DeathbedFood meal.
I only have one complaint: Jennie’s fortune cookies. Mine said “It is better to have beans and bacon in peace than cakes and ale in fear.” Does this mean that cake and ale is better than bacon? Bean perhaps but bacon? No.
Still, as far as food goes, Jennie’s got the Chinese takeout situation mastered. {chef’s kiss}
