TGIFF (Thank Goodness I Found FARMSHOP) In The Marin Country Mart
Sometimes, you think you know what to expect and then, “POW! Right in the kisser!” That’s what happened to me when I visited FARMSHOP in Marin.
I’d been to the FARMSHOP at the Brentwood Country Mart for lunch. Their signature House Made Pastrami sandwich was fine but I couldn’t appreciate it given my obsession with the woman at the next table wearing 5-inch Christian Louboutin unscuffed red-soled heels obviously just picked up from their shop at the mart. So I really had no clue for what lay ahead when I tried dinner at their Marin Country Mart location.
Bottom Top Line: If you’re in Marin or anywhere in its TMZ (thirty-mile-zone), you must go for:
- Dishes like oysters with madras curry, octopus with squid ink;
- A pickling paradise with pickled green strawberries, huckleberry, cara cara; and
- Fab farm-to-table fare such as Drake Family Farms goat cheese and Zuckerman Farms asparagus).
And don’t forget to order their DeathbedFood dessert, Espresso Budino. Tweet me @DeathbedFood so I can then live vicariously through you – please!
