Jean-Georges Comes to Los Angeles!

June 6, 2016 by Diane Wagner

Says Los Angeles Even Better Food Culture than New York because of Weather.

Jean-Georges Vongerichten, of Jean-Georges fame in New York, is finally opening up a restaurant – no, two restaurants – in Los Angeles, his first time on the West Coast. The two restaurants will reside in the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills set to open in 2017.

Anyone who has fundamental goals like these can only up LA’s food game:

If you don’t remember what you ate the night before, I didn’t do my job properly. We want the first bite to be as exciting as the last. We go for deliciousness all the way. ~ Jean-Georges, Angeleno Magazine

Moving to LA makes sense for Jean-Georges. He’s already does much of his restaurant-sourcing from the West Coast and, get this, he believes that LA is even a greater food culture than New York because of the weather.

Anthony Bourdain – are you reading this?

My only gripe is having to wait for the Waldorf. Maybe Jean-Georges could cater meals for the construction crew. Bet that’d get them to finish it sooner.

Reminder! If anyone read this, please tweet me @DeathbedFood. My June resolution is to post daily.
