The Jerky Martini is Doggie DeathbedFood!

July 18, 2017 by Diane Wagner

Make It Bone Dry with a Jerky Twist.

My Freddie Prints is a doggie foodie (see my post on his favorite restaurant patios in L.A.). So before he digs into his venison kibble with grain-free chicken pate, he wuvs to slurp up his favorite cocktail: a Jerky Martini.

The Jerky Martini is easy to make:

  1. Make your own jerky-infused vodka with Kennel One Vodka (pictured). It’s very important to use Kennel One (not Ketel One) because it’s specially formulated for dogs’ digestive systems. To infuse the vodka, simply take 3 strips of your dog’s favorite beef jerky, place them in the bottle of vodka and let sit for one day.
  2. Take your martini shaker, add the normal amount of vodka and ice. Shake furiously for 5 minutes. The shaking is key because it will get your doggie amped up and ready for his cocktail. Be sure NOT to add jerky liquor or any other alcohol as it must be bone dry.
  3. Take a small sliver of jerky, curl it around a toothpick and place it carefully around your designated cocktail hour dog bowl.
  4. Pour the martini into the dog bowl and serve.

WARNING: Be careful to serve only one. Two or more and your dog may start playing ‘Spin the Bottle’ on your hardwood floor.

I like Shake Shack but it’s Dodgers Stadium!! Can’t we have an iconic Cali burger place there?! They should’ve picked In-N-Out!!
