Okamoto Kitchen Killin’ It In Food Truck World.
Only 4 months ago on July 1st, the Okamoto Kitchen “Japanese Comfort Food” food truck rolled out for the first time. Since then, they’ve been generating lines and kicking (other) food truck tires.
In their first month, they were nominated by L.A. Weekly readers as one of the Top 3 Food Trucks in L.A., alongside powerhouses Kogi and Cousins Maine Lobster. Kogi won but that’s understandable given that they’ve been around since 2008 and have been widely acknowledged as the leader of the gourmet food truck industry (see Time magazine).
Now, Okamoto’s on TV! Check out co-founder Gerald Abraham in this video clip where he discusses the Japanese comfort food Okamoto will offer at the Great American Foodie Fest this weekend in Vegas. You’ll see Gerald explain the Nom Bomb. But make sure to notice the croquettes to its side. The BCC (bacon cheddar chives) croquettes are DeathbedFood.
