Award-Winning; Engaging; Funny Yet Deep
It’s that special time of the year again. No, not July 4th. Nay to Cinco de Mayo. Ixnay on National Ice Cream Day. Way better. It’s the time when LA Weekly gathers nominations for its annual Readers’ Choice Awards. This is Angelenos’ opportunity to vote for their favorite things in LA – from spas to DJs, restaurants to sommeliers, and Instagrammers to Twitter folks. That’s where I come in. I’m very humbly asking you to consider nominating my @DeathbedFood for the ‘Best Twitter Feed’ category this year.
The DeathbedFood® Blog is four years old now. Like a typical 4-year-old, the blog has a better vocabulary, which is why it probably enjoys telling more tales. @DeathbedFood’s that in spades.
The Top 3 Reasons to consider @DeathbedFood for this honor are:
Number One: Award-Winning
I’ve been named “One of the Top 5 Foodies To Follow In LA On Twitter by CBS LA” along with “heavy-weights” Eater LA and Krista Simmons. Here’s why:
Self-described as a ‘foodie to the core,’ Diane Wagner, who pens the delicious blog, DeathbedFood, tweets several times a day. From chocolate to wine to not-to-be-missed local food festivals, @DeathbedFood takes you with Wagner as she explores LA’s food scene. She has a knack for sharing and finding incredible dining experiences and gets to know those rock star chefs. You’ll feel like you are sitting at her table every time you check your Twitter feed.
Number Two: Engaged
Over 4 years, I’ve built an engaged following of food writers, celebrity chefs, restaurants, and foodies from all over the world. You may not be obsessed with cronuts like I am but I’m confident you’ll find something to like. If my gripes about Starbucks music or rants about Bourdain’s In-N-Out obsession don’t get you, my ongoing flirtation with Jose Andres will!
Number Three: Funny Yet Deep
You’ll laugh. You’ll cry. You’ll scratch your head. I see FOOD when I look at politics, health, pop culture, art and guilty pleasure. Through the blog and my Twitter feed, I explore how food intersects with the serious, humorous, deep and shallow.
